I have SATA Maxtor hard drive. I have noticed in device manger that SATA drive id shown as SCSI device. I have no idea why. I never had any SCSI device, so, I have never installed any SCSI drivers, which make this situation even more puzzling. Everything is working fine, but I need to know what happened.

Honestly, I dont know for sure. I had the same problem, but with my dvd burner, which was shown as SCSI dvd. My guess is that if you have Deamon Tools installed windows can make a mess and install SCSI drivers for your device by itself. As you know Deamon Tools provide SCSI drivers, because virtual drives are shown as SCSI.
