Best program for checking a graphic card capability?

Hi. I would like to have more detailed info about my graphic card just to see am I able to play newer games and to make my self sure is my graphic card the same thing as it stands on the paper. After my investment in the PC configuration, I have heard that the store which sold me the configuration already had some previous deception attempts. Thanks in advance.

Best program for checking your graphic card is some hardware power hungry 3D game. The more newer the more demanding. There you can see for the frame rate at the default settings. Call of Duty 4 for example. Or you can use specialized utility such as Everest Ultimate edition is, or Sisoftware Sandra. With those two programs you can perform complete system check and therefore you can be informed about all other hardware beside your graphic card adapter.
