| Hello. I think that I know when multitasking and Hypertreading became so important and practically visible. When thinner, with more flat wires cable became available to the end-users. Programs are behaving completely different thanks to this improved and slight data transfer method. I still have one very old build where Windows 98 rules, and I just can't believe on what kind of slugs we used to work before... And we were very, very efficient. Unbelievable. |

| Hi. What's so unbelievable? It's not just because of cables, it's because of rapid platform improvements and new technologies every day. Compare the DMA with SATAIII for example, I mean test it for good, and your tongue will came out. There is no such difference when doing several operations at a time - plus copying something. Theoretically, yes. Practically, we are far, far away from real improvements. |
