Hey there. I know I may be a beginner when t comes to computers, but at least I want to develop as much as I can. I heard that there are many protocols when it comes to data storage. One of them is Ultra DMA. Does anyone know something about it? I could use any explanation, tat is not too complicated
Hi there to you too. I am not sure if I can be of any help to you but I will try to. Ultra DMA is a protocol that was developed by hard disk developers Quantum Corporation and famous processor and bus developers – Intel. Ultra DMA mode (it is also called UDMA or Ultra DMA/33) is a protocol for moving data from a HDD to the computer's RAM memory using computer's data paths (or also called - bus). In its fastest mode it transfers data at a rate of33.3 MBps which is twice faster than previous DMA. For a user this means that system boots faster , and that applications open faster too.
