Hi there. I can see the bar for this each time I want to burn something under Nero Burning rom. And it is always above 80%, no matter what speed I am using to burn CD’s or DVD’s. I guess, that’s ok, but I am curious about the things hiding behind that green bar below. What is actually going on there? Thanks in advance.

Hello. Buffer is used to store the data, waiting to be burnt. And if your buffer scale is over 80% constantly, it means that you can burn DVD’s or CD’s at any speed. When buffer underrun occurs, when the buffer percentage falls below 15%, because that much only is enough, and stands there longer than 5 seconds, there is a possibility that your medium might become unusable, and you should check the drivers for IDE/ATA atapi controllers. Probably, you are going to re-install them.
