I have ADSL internet connection and small home LAN. There are three computers on this network and all three are heavily used, mainly for internet. I have to admit that I had no serious security problems, but I am still concerned about them. Especially with the creation rate of new viruses and other malware. Can you tell me what best protection for ADSL and LAN is?

Hello. You can create several protection levels. First thing is to buy a router. Router can act as hardware firewall and it is more reliable in this function then any software firewall. Next, you can install software firewall to tighten security even more. Of course, unavoidable security measures are antivirus and antispyware programs. The rest is on user common sense. With this I mean that user does not open mail attachments from unknown persons, do not click Yes button wherever it shows and similar things.
