I have downloaded some freeware fonts and I would like to install them so all applications on Windows can use them. I have Windows XP Home edition with service pack 2 installed, if this is important at all. Can you explain to me how to install these fonts? As you have probably found out I am a complete newbie in computer world.

Installing fonts in Windows XP is easy. Just copy fonts in C:\Windows\Fonts folder and they will be accessible from any Windows application. As you have probably noticed every application have a font combo box from where you can choose what font you are going to use. Newly installed fonts will be listed in this combo box when you first run such application after installing fonts.
