| Is it possible to password protect USB external Hard disk drives? There are some files I keep on my internal hard disk drive, which I would like to store somewhere else, in order to keep them away from the eyes of those who want to know too much, This seems like a good idea to me, but I am not sure how it can be done. Many thanks. |

| Sure you can do it. There is an application, I think it is called password protect usb, that lets you password protect any drive that accesses your PC via USB. It is just what you want, right? The program is not expensive; it is somewhere around 40 USD and I think it will do the job perfectly. I would just advise you to read the reviews before you buy it, and also to put it on a test, before you erase that data from HDD. And , you know what You just reminded me to do the same thing, you know…we all have our secrets |
