Hello there people. I am about to connect one more additional hard disk drive to the same IDE cable, because my other IDE2 is already used with 2 optical drives. When using two hard drives with the same IDE cable, is there any known rule issue or basic hardware law for respect, that I should know? Thanks in advance.

Well, there are just a two things on which you should pay attention. And thats the correct jumper position. Your old drive is, I suppose, set to work as master drive (you can check that in the BIOS) so your secondary must be the slave drive. Otherwise, conflicts can appear and both of your hard drives are not going to be properly recognized by the system and they wont work. The other thing is partitioning. DO not set any other partition as active, when formatting. Thats it.
