Hello. I am curious about these anomalies, called bad cluster or bad sectors. How do they appear, can I create bad cluster by my mistake, or it is just a matter of time when bad cluster is about to show up? And is hard drive becoming unusable after the appearance of bad clusters? What is the proper cure for bad and damaged sector? Thanks in advance.

The proper cure is not cleaning the hard drive like you can do with the ordinary CD. In every case, no matter what, do not try to open the Hard Drive to fix the bad cluster. Of course, I am joking. Who would ever try to open the hard drive to fix it? Bad clusters can appear when some of the magnetic field is present, near the drive. Like strong HI FI speaker for example. Also, bad clusters do appear, when particular drive is made under low factory conditions. For example, brands like Maxtor, with their factory propulsion in China or Singapore. You can isolate the portion of the drive with damaged surface with few commands inside the computer console, or you can just apply the low level format, if there is only a software made bad cluster. But in a case of physical drive failure, you cant avoid replacement of the drive. Sooner or later.
