I would like to set my mic as a default recording device, but I am not sure how to do it. Instead of my mic, the default recording device is set to C-Media Wave Device, and I have no idea how to change it.I think that this could be the reason why the sound I am recording is barely recognizable. Thanks in advance

Hello there. I do not understand where your problem is coming from, because it seems to me that setting mic as a default recording device shouldn’t be the problem at all. I think it is , in fact, a really easy thing to do, from the control panel. I mean, it is easy, but when you have drivers you need. If you don’t have driver, you might face a problem. But, finding a right driver nowadays is not a problem at all, because you can download it easily from the manufacturers’ site.Anyway, I am sure you won’t be having any problems with it, once you have the right drivers installed.
