I recently got interested for computers and Internet. I have been reading many computer magazines, and I got interested in those subjects. Last week, I bought a computer. However, now I discovered that I need to learn more if I want to handle this machine. For instance, DVD drive is making my PC freeze if it’s idle for some time. Can I get some help with that subject?

If you have a computer for just one week, do not worry. Computers are great machines, rather easy to handle but they have their rules. You will have to learn and respect those rules and procedures if you want to avoid problems. Just be patience and take one-step at a time. I was also a beginner once, and I bet that I was much worse then you will ever be. Now, computers are my profession and my source for living. Find yourself few good courses for computer using and you will be fine. It would be even better if you could find some friend or neighbor to assist you in overcoming some 'starting problems' in starting of using computers. That way, you will also, beside time, save yourself a lot of money for computer services. Now let us get back to your problem with DVD drive making your PC freeze if it’s idle for some time. I think that you should try to reinstall your motherboard drivers. If that won't help then reinstall operating system.
