I have a notebook for a long period and it satisfies all my needs. Recently, I got a new cell phone as a birthday present from my parents. It is a great new model with camera, Internet and all those fancy stuff. However, I want to transfer those files to my computer. Is connecting a cell phone and a computer via Bluetooth possible? Is Bluetooth a wireless technology?

Of course, it is possible to connect cell phone and computer over bluetooth. If both of those machines are equipped with such devices. If the cell phone does not have bluetooth possibility, you cannot do anything about it, except to change your model of cell phone for some with bluetooth. If your computer or laptop does not have integrated bluetooth adapter you can always add it. There are bluetooth adapters in PCI and PCMCIA adapters for every kind of computers, desktop or laptop. Therefore, first check do your cell phone and computer have bluetooth connection. If they do, enable it and you can connect them easily. However, transfer of data via bluetooth is not so fast. Bluetooth is a wireless technology and, as all other wireless technologies, is rather slow. Therefore, if you have a possibility to establish a cable connection, do not hesitate.
