Line-in sound not working?

Hello! I have one problem with my sound. The computer is HP laptop. When I want to use line-in sound not working. I don’t understand why it won’t work. I tried so many times to play something but it nothing happens. I don’t know what to do; there is nothing to say more. What you think about this? Thanks for your opinion.

Hi! You said that Line-in sound not working. Probably you forget to check all parameters in volume controller. I suggest you to do next thing. Open the volume controls and there be sure that all parameters are maximal. Then you can use line in and try to open some sound. Now you need to listen if your card is ok.
