I have bought a Pioneed 112D. I know that I should have bought SATA, but now it’s over. I had IDE port free so I tried to put it there, but it won’t show up. I got the device back to the store but they say it works and I am doing something wrong. What would be that?

I am not sure, but maybe your IDE controller is totally turned off, if it is a SATA device you have got enabled there. Go to the bios (after turning on computer, press DEL until you get in), and check if IDE controller is turned on and properly enabled to work.
