Hello there. I know I am just a beginner and that I probably should not mess with not is not my profession, but I am trying to connect my desktop PC and my new laptop, by router. I have XP installed on one, Vista on another one and they should share LAN, but it seems router cannot support it. What shall I do?

Well, you are right about not messing with the things that are not your profession. Everyone wants to do everything these days, and it is just not the way things should function. Even though it may seem not at all complicated to create a network out of two computers, it sometimes may be complicated if you are a novice. I think it is a thing that should be left to professionals, especially if you want that connection to be stable and safe. So, I think you should contact someone to do it for you. Maybe you need some drivers, some application, something to make it all work. Good luck there
