Hello there. Here is my situation. I really have some weird problems regarding my DVD burning device. It won't work well in the DMA mode, while PIO transfer mode is default, which is not normal if you ask me. The most annoying fact is that I can't burn DVD's when the device is in the DMA mode. I will be very grateful if someone explains to me what should I do with my Pioneer.

Pioneer you say, well, first thing I would try would be IDE ATA cable replacement. ATA 33 can work nicely with some DVD burners, while certain 109d models are requiring ATA66. So, there you go. Option number one. Option number two is to replace the firmware. Upgrade that damn thing, because we all know that you can't listen to the music normally, without being interrupted with the slow speed in PIO data transfer! OK, the third option is to get your self new Drive.
