| What is the difference between FreeBSD and FreeSBIE, can someone please explain me? I have only heard about some operative systems, but have never seen them or tried them out. For example, these two. What is the difference between those two? I really do not have a clue…I would like to try something other than Windows, I never have seen anything else |

| Well, the difference is simple – FreeSBIE is based on FREEBSD but does not need to be installed. You need to burn it on a CD , and it is bootable. So it is in fact very similar. And if you would like to try out some versions of Linux, there is always Knoppix But if you are an average user, I understand your wish to see more different things as well as systems, but there is really no need to risk it. Windows is really the best one you can get,and it supports all the software and vice versa. So, you may try bootable ones, just to see what they look like, but to install brand new OS – no need. |
