Hello. I don’t know what was the main reason for installing Free BSD on my computer, but I feel regret now. I am not saying that this OS sucks, I am saying that I don’t have that much time to learn something new, and boy, this one is way too big. Now, here is the situation. Each time when I plug in the wireless card in the PCMCIA slot, the machine freezes and there is nothing else but reboot available. Anyone has some ideas? It is Sony PCWA-C100 Wireless LAN card. Thanks in advance.

Hello. Well, maybe it is something due to the hardware IRQ assignment in the BIOS setup program for the PCMCIA slot, the resource mismatch. There are plenty of different workouts, and each one depends on the active configuration of your notebook or the PC desktop computer. What is standing inside /var/log/messages folder? Sometimes not all brands are supported by every operating system, and you need to find the other match. That’s the way it is inside open source.
