I need some help with my Asrock MB driver update. My MB could not properly see my new HDD and I cannot see anything on it, as it is empty. Therefore, I downloaded the latest updated driver from the Internet. I have XP installed on my computer for three years and everything worked fine until now. However, when I try to install downloaded file I get an error message and my computer restarts. Can I get any advice?

There are few possible reasons that might cause your problem. The simplest one would be an error in the process of downloading and your driver file for Asrock motherboard may be damaged. To check that, you should try to download it once more and than try to reinstall it. Also, you might not have a proper version of driver for your version of Windows. Your version of drivers could be for some other operating system like Windows 2000. In that case, you have to find and download the proper version for Windows XP. Last reason for your problem could be that your driver update may need some service pack or add-ons. If that is the problem, download and install them first. If nothing helps, then complete reinstall certainly will.
