| How do I upgrade Leadtek 6600 video card? What is the simplest way, and the way that will make it function best. I am new when It comes to all these matters, and I could really use a hand in understanding the upgrade process. What I have done had only caused the system to freeze. My mistake probably, I have installed beta drivers. Thanks a lot |

| Well, you shouldn’t have messed with beta drivers. I do not understand what could have been the purpose, since this is an older card, and I am sure you may easily find the good and functioning drivers. You should remove the one you have installed, from safe mode for example, and remove the card from hardware properties. You should also download a good, verified driver, and then after the system has finished installing the card, install a new driver. I do not think you will find it very difficult; it is just that you have messed things up with installation of beta version. And, did you think about upgrading your configuration a bit, or buying a new one? |
