I have some ancient computer laying ground and I would like to give it a purpose (AMD K6 266MHz). Im aware that none of current linux distributions can not be installed on that, but I remember that I have been able to install mandrake (early version) when this machine was at its prime. Believe it or not, I have mandrake and corel installations from last century. Should I install mandrake or corel?

Wow! I admire you! Im guessing that you want to make a router from that machine. Well installation of Corel wouldnt take to much time, and there wont be a lot of questions, but after you boot it youll see that configuration would take some time. On the other hand, you have Mandrake with several cds, but when you finish installation process (and that can really take some time) and boot everything will be ok. Both distros have it strengths and weaknesses, so, which one you will install is just a metter of your personal choice. As far as I remember, Mandrake had a better configuration utility, so if youre really planning to set up a router, maybe the Mandrake is better option.
