| I'm trying to install this HP printer, but it looks like it's dead set on being difficult. First, I find out that even though printing works fine, I need to do a driver update because it won't scan without it. So I go online and find the site and the driver, and download it and Yeah, you guessed it. Now it will neither scan NOR print. Before I turn violent, can someone help? |

Roll back your drivers, man. In the Device Manager, find your printer in the hardware list, right click, choose Properties, then the Drivers tab, and then there should be a button titled "roll back drivers to a previous version".
Once you do this, you can try an update again, but this time remember to clean out your old drivers before installing new ones.
