I had to format my HP computer and now I can’t get internet to work. I suppose that this has something to do with the drivers but I’m unable to find the proper ones. I haven’t got the HP system disc since this computer was a kind of a present from a friend. She’s moved abroad and she forgot to give me the system disc. Does anyone know how I could fix this?

Since you’ve mentioned not having HP system disc, I suppose that you haven’t been adding another network card to your system but are using the integrated one. I think that the easiest way to fix this problem would be to disable that onboard NIC and replace it with a PCI one. But if you’ve got a PCI NIC already, then you’ve got the drivers for it on the disc you’ve got with it.
