| I've been trying to get my friend's machine to work with a new motherboard, and now it looks like I've made a mess of his BIOS. I've tried resetting it, but now it's even worse than before, now the system won't start up – the fans are spinning, and the little lights are flashing, but neither the monitor nor the keyboard are responding. Is there some way to reset everything back to the defaults real quick?! |

After a CMOS reset, everything should be the way it was, if that's not doing it… are you sure it's the tweaking of his BIOS settings that fucked it up? I mean, when moving the system to a new board, it's very often that something is poorly connected, wiggles out of a slot, or the like. Make sure the RAM sticks are jammed in OK.
