Learn how to fix slow internet connection with Windows Vista

 The most recent OS from the Microsoft lab, Windows Vista brought not only many improvements, but also many headaches. One of them is problem with a slow connection. There are some ways how to fix it. There are many reasons for slow connection in Vista. Sometimes you have to clean the browser of unnecessary load, which can be reason for slow connection, and delete all cookies, history and temporary files. Malware and Viruses as a reason for slow connection Malware and viruses are often reason for slow internet connection. When your system is infected with a virus, it installs code which will usually send copies of itself through email. Some viruses can multiply at the rate of hundreds of email messages per minute, which leaves little or none bandwidth for anything else. That can cause a major slowdown or even non-responsive PC. Viruses often do not give any obvious indication that they are running, so it is best to run your antivirus software at all times, especially if it has resident scan and protection. Sole antivirus won’t be enough for protection, so you have to run anti-spyware scan. Also, it’s good idea to have installed and enabled firewall as a protection. However, firewall can also be a reason for problem with a slow connection. Maybe this sounds radical, but try to disable or remove Firewall if you have it installed, or its particular features that can cause slow connection, at least temporarily to check if there are any improvements. Hardware Drivers as a reason for slow connection Cause for slow connection can be a problem with Vista drivers for some Network Cards (especially Realtek cards).
