I had some problems with my system about a week ago and I decided to reinstall WinXP. I had no problems with the installation apart from that XP wasn’t able to find my sound card this time. I used the same sound card before and it was fine. I updated the BIOS but it didn’t change anything regarding my problem. Could anyone please help me with this? Thanks!

I’m not sure about this one but have you installed SP2? I had a friend with the same problem and SP2 fixed it. Still, if you didn’t have SP2 on your system before the reinstallation, and your sound was alright, then it’s really strange it’s not working now.
I hope SP2 helps you too. If it doesn’t maybe you could be send us more details (system specs and especially the sound card type) and someone might be able to offer you some more help.
