I am not quite sure my self yet regarding this whole thing as Linux desktop. Linux was always more server side oriented operating system. And there won’t be any change in the future I believe. But, as the time passes by, I can see that there are more and more users disappointed in the Windows interface called Vista. There are also rumors that everything is possible to run under Linux trough various emulators. But, no matter this it seems to me that comfort for manipulating inside Linux will never prevail over Windows. What’s the key point here?

Hello. The key point here is DirectX and the psychological advertisement effect caused by all gaming development teams. DirectX is meant to run over Windows and there is a way as you said, to emulate some % of programs for Windows environment, but that’s never going to be the same thing. However, Linux is already very, very close to Windows. Only, you are not informed about that.
