I have noticed something strange. Here’s what’s been bugging me for a couple of days. I have subscribed to cable internet and since dynamic IP addresses are cheaper option and I don’t intend to have a server neither to run a company, it is quite sufficient to me. So I don’t mind the fact that my IP address is not the same constantly. But it is! I have seen that it hasn’t changed ever since I subscribed. How is that possible?

I don’t know much about that but what I know for sure your IP address is dynamic and the fact that it is constantly the same means only that your provider decided to make things simpler and less confusing so when they lease an IP address they do it for a couple of hours and they give it to you. After that period passes, they just renew the lease and instead of giving that address to somebody else, they give it to you. Maybe I sound confusing, but I hope that you are ale to understand what I want to say. I think that it’s because of what I have described above, but I may be wrong.
