Can somebody please explain me why is PCI Express better than AGP technology? I have a bit older motherboard which still uses AGP, and my graphic card needs to be changed. Everyone is advising me to switch to new configuration which uses PCI Express. What is the difference? And what IS even more important, is that difference important for me? Many thanks

Well, PCI express is much better than AGP technology because it is twice faster. Instead of 8x, which is the speed of AGP technology, PCI Express uses 16.In a way, what they are advising you is right –if you do not switch to newer motherboard with newer technology, you will not be able to upgrade soon at all. On the other hand, if you are using your PC for some non demanding things – like Internet, movies, Office etc. you will notice no difference. So, if you are not playing games or working with some demanding graphics – no need to worry or hurry. You will switch when you feel the need to,
