I have just bought another computer and it is only logical that I create a small network. Still I know that it isn’t just a piece of cake like some people think. But it would be great if, despite the fact that I’m a layman, I could establish this home network myself. Can somebody help me by giving me some advice? Thanks in advance!

As you have said it yourself, this really isn’t something that should be done hasty. I think that somebody experienced should be at least present when you are doing that because numerous problems may occur. You need a cable for connecting those two computers and I think that you can either use a router or a switch to connect them. I think that Windows has some options for creating a network. But sometimes it is necessary to flash BIOS of one of computers and to install some additional drivers and that is why I think that even if you follow all the steps of the procedure, you still shouldn’t try to do everything on your own.
