| Can somebody please tell me what kind of computer virus is a worm? However hard I try, I cannot tell a difference between worms and viruses, not to mention Trojans and stuff. So, I would really appreciate to hear your explanation, but I would really like it to be brief and clear. Many thanks for your help in advance |

| Well… there are some differences between worms and viruses. Viruses are connected to applications, while worms do not need to be attached to any kind of program. They spread around very quickly, and often do harm to the network connections. For example, theyyou’re your bandwidth, and make your connection function very slowly. On the other side, viruses make changes to your files and folders. Furthermore, while you can fight viruses very efficiently by using antivirus programs, you cannot do it with worms. You need to use firewall in order to protect your system, but using antivirus program is very useful too. Anyway, you have plenty of material on the net, and you can read more on this subject if you are interested. |
