Hi. I didn't knew that CS3 package is not compatible with the machine I am using for everyday purposes. I have only 512 MB of ram installed, and the application told me that I need at least 1 GB. Quite unhappy I am. Well, I guess that I should get back to CS2. Before I install CS2, I would like to know is there a chance to start and run the Photoshop CS3 only, without the entire suite installed... Thanks in advance. |

Hello. Photoshop CS3 is able to run with only 512 MB of ram. But, you don't want that, believe me. I mean, you will not have enough room for the playground even with one more additional ram card. Just think about all those filters and the gallery.. And when you start once, you just can't stop! All of the sudden, one single file becomes 590 megabytes huge! |

| Right. But, you know what? You can try with some other thing. Gimp for example. Gimp 2 actually. This program can work on machines with only 128 Mb or ram, and it provides almost everything you have inside photoshop, only on quite different way. That's the beauty of Open Source. Small, versatile, has everything you need, plus even more and the most important, you can't go to jail! |
