| Can somebody please explain me a mechanism of VoIP? My boyfriend is insisting I should buy and VoIP phone, he claims it would be a much cheaper option for long distance calls.Now, I have no idea what VoIP is. If anyone have some free time, and can put some effort into explaining, I would really be pleased.Many thanks |

| Well, your boyfriend has a point. If you both have VoIP phones, you can even talk for free, or at extremely low costs. The VoIP is used for the transmission of the voice over the internet, a technology that has started to develop back in the eighties I think. Today, it is more often used, and for a good reason. The quality of the sound can even stay the same, or can be of just a bit lower quality. So, I would recommend you to listen to his advice, it can cut off your expanses significantly. I guess he has one too and that you will talk for free. |
