What is the biggest hard disk capacity available today? I’d like to extend my storage space and I’m thinking of buying one of those large HDDs instead of piling up a couple of those with less storage space. What do you think? What would you suggest me? How reliable are those hard disks since they store too much data?

I’m not quite sure but I think that nowadays the largest capacity hard disk has 500GB. At least, that is what I have heard. Maybe there are some larger, but I don’t think so. In your case I have to tell you that you must see other performances that your PC has and according to that determine whether it would be able to support such a large HDD. It is important to see what power supply you have and if it is not so strong, you should replace it because if you don’t do that and still install a large hard disk, your system may be unstable and some of your other components including that HDD may be severely damaged.
