What is standard expansion bus speed? I’m supposed to take a test and it is giving me a headache and I really don’t know how I am going to learn all that stuff. I’m even thinking about skipping it this time but that will cause me some problems. So, can you, please, give me a comprehensible explanation of this complicated phrase?

If I have to put it in a nutshell, then that is the speed at which the data and information can be transferred from the memory and CPU of your PC to all other peripheral devices of the PC. The bus is something like a channel which in a way connects components. There were several kinds of types of bus and the latest technology developed PCI bus. It can have the speed up to 133MHz and this one can have the transfer speed of the incredible 1GB per second. Anyway, I hope that you have at least vaguely understood the meaning. First learn the basics of PC technology for your exam and only then will you be able to grasp the meaning of more complicated things.
