Hi. Everyone who indeed has the several years of internet experience, heard about so called big father of all operating systems. Unix. And the fact that Linux is being made from it, really puts that "son" into a great stable position. Speaking about Unix, I am really curious about any newer, latest forms of this literally greatest gathering of programming code. Is Unix actually discontinued? Thanks in advance.

No, HELL NO!! Unix will never going to be discontinued. That is the source of MS-DOS it self, keep that in mind. You are curious about Unix and it's latest forms? All I know about latest updates is that some sort of OpenUNIX 8 is available. How does it looks like? I can't tell. Because I don't use that. Unis is even more complex than Linux is, and if you want to start meeting with, than obtain some free copy of Debian, as it is the first derivative of Unix. The most similar. Once you learn how to manipulate trough Debian, you are prepared for the real thing. Your own server, driven by Unix.
