Hi. I have finally obtained more bigger drive than 40gb maxtor. Yes, that was inside my PC, and don't ask me how I managed to run the system. Before I make new partitions and start with copying the data, I would like to read about few advices concerning recommended partition size on this type of HDD. Thanks in advance.

It all depends what do you want to install. If you are about to install Vista, than consider that minimum recommended is 40 gigabytes for system partition. Vista can run on 20GB partition, but that won't be enough later on. Also, creating more than two partitions is not necessary. Assign 40 gigabytes for primary where system files will be, and the rest should be assigned to letter D: (stuff) 80GB, for your personal files and music and whatsoever.
