Here is what I have discovered. When I let this Vista to use automatic updates and when I click on update history while the update is currently active, I can't go back to check the current progress, and it seems like router is sending and receiving packets but these are just not going anywhere. Like there is some sort of loop, I don't know, kinda stuck. All I can do is to reboot in order to make this system to work normal. Is there a hotfix for this?

Hotfix for hotfix? Is that what are actually looking for? Look, Vista is still in very intensive updating period. My suggestion to you is to leave this OS to update it self without any interruption. You are probably giving your self some headaches quite often. And this is just one of them. Regarding my experience with Vista, well I had no issues with the automatic update at all. Service pack one really is required. I suggest you to install SP1 in the offline mode first, than update the rest of the things as required.
