What can be causing problems on my new Toshiba laptop? I have Vista installed, and it takes hours for it to logon. When I say hours I mean only literally, of course. Anyway, it is quite a disaster, how slow it boots, and how slow it functions. What shall I do? Can you please give me an advice?

Hey there. I really do not have a bloody idea what could be causing such a behavior. But, the first thing that crossed my mind is that you are maybe having some memory problems, if it takes you that long to boot the system, and if it is functioning slowly. Unless you want to take it to a pro right away, I would advise you to download some tests from the net and run them. Maybe you will be able to find out if there is any hardware error, or it is just a software crash, which is much easier to fix.Good luck with it
