I have a major problem installing Vista Ultimate on my PC.I cannot even start the installation process; I always get the message saying that it is a bad checksum or damaged file. I have tried the same DVD on my laptop and it is fully functional. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? Many thanks for your help and hints

Well, it may be that there is something wrong with your hardware maybe? How was it functioning before you tried to install the Vista Ultimate? Was it functioning well? Maybe the application is having trouble recognizing some of your hardware…You know what? It may not be the bad idea to try checking your IDE and SATA cable, and maybe even replace them if it is needed. Furthermore, you may check your BIOS settings, but I really do not see what could be causing the problem there. If nothing helps, contact the professional. I hope you will have more luck with it in the future.
