| Do not worry, this procedure is easy. Boot computer with Windows XP installation CD. On the first Setup screen (where Setup first stops) press R to enter Recovery Console. Log in using administrator password and choose partition where XP is installed. Enter fixboot command (without the quotes, of course) press enter and then choose yes two more times. After this enter exit command and computer will reboot. You will notice that there is no Vista in boot loader. Now, only one step has remained. Delete following files from root sector of Windows XP installation: $RECYCLE.BIN, Boot (folder), Boot.BAK, bootmgr, BOOTSECT.BAK and format partition where Vista is (quick format will do). Now you have uninstalled Vista. |
