I have a problem with my VPN. I can’t connect it whenever I want to and I don’t know how to solve this problem. I should say that this VPN has been created by a professional and not some layman who would mess something up. I would like to start fixing things on my own instead of depending on somebody all the time.

You haven’t told us what are the symptoms and I will tell you a couple of possible solutions for the problem which is very common. First of all I would advise you to see the settings for firewalls you are using. In order to check whether a firewall is causing connectivity problems, I advise you to turn it off. Make sure that you have turned off each firewall, including Windows XP. If you still can’t connect, then maybe it is a problem with browser. I suggest you to connect first and then start Internet Explorer or Opera and see if this fixes the problem. You can also check out whether you have put your PC in hibernation because that way the connection is lost and has to be established again.
