Hello. Since I have switched from the poor dial-up to the adsl broadband connection, I have noticed that there is much less “virus” interaction between my PC and the internet. I have also heard that all ADSL routers came with bundled firewall software inside. Hardware firewall, actually. Well, is it necessary to keep both standard version of software firewall and the other one, implemented inside?

Too much tight security really can lead to headaches. I think that there is no need to have anything else but from one of the following: Simple anti-virus program and integrated windows firewall. I don’t know does all routers have integrated hardware solution or not, but most of them does, and it is quite enough if you do not deal with piracy and suspicious web pages.
