I need advice. I am thinking about upgrading my system from XP to Vista. But I am a bit doubtful, because my system configuration is a bit older. My CPU, for instance, is 1,8 GHz, and I have just 512 MB RAM memory. So, what do you think, should I try Vista or not? I have seen that few of my friends are using it, and I like the way it looks.

In my humble opinion, you should stick to Windows XP. I do not think your configuration will benefit from installing Vista – it will just run more slowly and take more of you RAM. I have a similar configuration myself, and I do not plan to put Vista on it. As for its visual identity – Vista is prettier, I must admit. I know this is not the same, but there are some skins for XP that change the way it looks completely, many of there copying vista or Longhorn look. I myself have Brickopack installed, the one Vista inspired. It is free, lovely and y system is not a bit slower.
