I need some help with my MSI MB driver update. My MB could not properly see my new HDD sand I am unable to access it. Therefore, I downloaded the latest updated driver from the Internet. I have XP installed on my computer for three years and everything worked fine until now. However, when I try to install downloaded file I get an error message and my computer restarts. Does anybody have any advice?

There are several possible reasons that might cause your problem. The simplest one would be an error in the process of downloading and your driver file for Microstar MB may be damaged. To check that, you should try to download it once more and than try to reinstall it. Alternatively, you might not have a proper version of driver for your operating system. Your version of drivers could be for some other operating system like Windows 2000. In that case, you have to find and download the proper version for your version of Windows. Last reason for your problem could be that your driver update may need some service pack or add-ons. If that is the problem, download and install them first. If nothing helps, then complete reinstall certainly will.
