Task manager overload!

I have been using the internet for few last years and everything worked fine. However, until few months ago, I could not defend from all sorts of trojans and malwares. I reinstalled Windows couple of times but it did not help me for a long. After few days on line and I have the same problems again. Now I have problem with Task manager. Whenever I start it, it reports overload error. Are there any safer browsers than IE?

There are other browsers beside the Internet Explorer. Some of the most popular are Mozila and Opera. Many users also claims that they are safer then the Internet Explorer. I disagree with them. I am also on line at least 7 hours per day, I am using IE and I do not have any problems. For trojan and malware detection, you need some anti-spyware software like SpyBot, which is completely free. Second thing you need is some good anti-virus software which is also free. I personally use AVG and I am completely satisfied. If you have Microsoft based operating system like Windows 2000, you also have to check do you have latest Service Pack installed. If do not then download and install it. All those things will not slow your machine much but will give you enough protection.
