I have installed a PCI network card and I have done something improperly as the system cannot seem to recognize it. Do you have any idea how I can fix it? The card is new and I suppose that it is not broken or something and I believe that it is all caused by the way I installed it.

If you know that this is what caused the problem I suggest you not to try and do it again. Since you are already aware of the fact that the problem is caused by the fact that you have improperly installed your PCI card, then there is no need to repeat the same mistake all over again. I suggest you to have someone who is a professional over and have him to install your card. That way you can be sure that the installation process will be carried properly.

That is right! And you will have whom to complain if something is not working properly and he will have to come and install it again for free. I am sure that this is more economical solution that to be stuck like you and to keep on trying and trying while your PCI card in not functioning. I think that this is really too complicated or expensive solution. So, in order not to risk damaging your card, I think that you should not do anything on your own any more.

Omg, I had no idea that PCI card installation is that complicated. I must admit that I always install components and I thought that it is not something that must be performed by repair shop strictly. My memory is still working properly though I have installed it by myself s few years ago and that is why I believe that PCI card installation cannot be that difficult. Maybe the guy has just done one step improperly and you could suggest him what to change.
