| Hello. I really don’t know why are these hard drives today that much non-reliable. Actually, in this case of mine, hard drive is really not guilty that much, but it is stubborn. What happened is that I somehow lost electricity for a second, and that was the exact time, when I was in the middle of formatting the ext3 partition. Now, the hard drive structure is so much in the mess, than I cannot reformat the partition, no matter which program I choose. |

| In the middle of the format you are saying… And what kind of hard drive structure you have right now? Unknown partition, hidden, dynamic, corrupted? I guess that you already tried to fix some of the things by using Partition Magic or similar Unix utility… What does “qpart“ says? Try connecting the hard drive on some other PC, and see what is going to happen with Simple Disk Management utility program. Try to delete the partition and partition structure, and then recreate partition table and reformat. |
