I am trying to set up file sharing at my PC at work, but I just can not do it. I do not know what the problem is, it all seemed very easy to me, but it is just not working. Can the problem be caused by the fact that I do not have administrator privileges on my pc? Or it can’t?

Well, it seems very possible to me that this is the main cause of your problem. When you do not have administrator privileges, you are not able to do many even less harmful things, than it is sharing files For example, at work I can not open any folders at one of the partitions, nor I can install programs. It may come as a surprise for you, but even though I knew what the password is, I never used it. I wouldn’t like to be held responsible if something happened to the network or to the system, so it is the best for me to stay safely away from the danger. And sharing files can be risk.
